Katarina (Katya) Reach

 MA, LPC
EMDR Trained
Trauma-Informed & Neuro-Affirming Therapist

Katya provides trauma-informed, neuro-affirming therapy for preteens, teens, and adults in the DFW metroplex, as well as through telehealth across Texas. Her specialty areas include complex trauma and PTSD, neurodivergence—including Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and OCD—as well as post-adoption and adoptee support.

Areas of Focus

Complex Trauma & PTSD

Trauma can affect far more than memories of what happened. It can shape the nervous system, relationships, self-perception, emotional responses, and the ways a person learns to stay safe. Katya helps clients understand these deeper patterns and move toward healing rather than simply learning to manage symptoms.

She may incorporate EMDR, parts work, somatic techniques, attachment-based therapy, and neuroscience-informed interventions to help clients process experiences and develop a greater sense of safety, connection, and freedom.

Katya takes an individualized, whole-person approach to therapy, recognizing that the struggles clients experience are often connected to deeper patterns, past experiences, relationships, and nervous system responses. Depending on each client's needs, she may incorporate EMDR, I-CBT, parts work, somatic techniques, neuroscience, DBT, and attachment-based therapy through a systemic lens.

With warmth and compassion, Katya works with individuals and families to look beyond surface-level symptoms, get to the roots of what they are experiencing, and develop greater insight into themselves and their patterns. Her goal is to help clients experience meaningful change, greater connection, and more freedom in everyday life.

Katya provides neuro-affirming counseling for individuals with Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and OCD. Rather than approaching neurodivergence as something that needs to be “fixed,” she helps clients better understand how their brains work, recognize patterns that contribute to overwhelm or distress, and develop strategies that support everyday life.

For clients struggling with OCD, Katya may incorporate Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) to help address the reasoning patterns that fuel obsessional doubt.
